Certifications

We offer certifications in a number of areas including Investigations (General), Sexual Misconduct and Title IX Investigations, Student Discipline, Risk Management, Campus Safety, Emergency Management, and more.

Certifications are structured in tiers.

The levels are intended to be completed sequentially.  Students should take Awareness Level before Operations Level; Operations before Leadership Level.

Awareness Level

Awareness level certifications are designed to be a basic overview of the topic and is target for faculty,, professional staff, and student staff who need basic awareness of the topic so they are able to effectively support your students in ways that are in compliance with law, guidance, standards, etc.

This level of certification is recommended for all individuals at higher education institutions who are identified as Campus Safety Authorities (CSAs).

Operations Level

Operations level certifications are designated for staff and administrators who need a more advanced understanding of the topic.  This certification will help participants understand and interpret policies and procedures related to implementing discipline, risk, and/or safety policies and procedures.  

For institutions who required Title IX compliance, we suggest that the institution Deputy Title IX Coordinators and Investigators complete this certification.  

This certification is completed over three days of training,  It is offered via a combination of online and inperson.  It is also available entirely in person.

Leadership Level

Leadership level certifications are designed to provide key officials and campus stakeholders who need a very deep and nuanced understanding of the topic.  Individuals who need to interpret laws and government regulations should complete this certification.  Additionally, administrators who develop campus policies should complete this certification.  

This certification helps campus leaders prepared for how to respond when, and create new campus policy, after new guidance is issued by governmental entities.  This training takes place over five days.  It is available as in a combination of in person and online training as well as entirely in person.
